Trivandrum: Many complain that the electricity bill comes as a shock. Now KSEB regulatory commission informed that power tariffs in the state is likely to increase. Electricity prices are up 6.8%. For those who use up to 40 units per month, BPL categories will not be charged. For those who use up to 50 units a month, there will be an increase of Rs 5. The regulatory commission said in a press release that the hike would be for three years. The regulatory commission said KSEB is expecting additional revenue of Rs 902 crore at the new rate. The electricity bill is likely to be shocked if it does not follow the proper set of rules for power consumption in the future.
