RBI may tighten current account operating norms for corporate borrowers

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is looking to tighten rules on opening and operating current accounts of corporate borrowers to curb diversion of funds, according to a report by The Economic Times.

The central bank has said in a draft circular that current accounts can be opened only with the lead bank of a lending consortium, the report said.
