Professional bodies and gig economy players to file data on jobs

Delhi: The government has recommended that details of employees in professional companies, including chartered accountant companies and architects' firms, be filed. According to government sources, steps are being taken by the government to take a decision at a high-level meeting. At present, 23 companies are required to provide such information.

This includes online taxi companies Ola and Uber. The recommendation is to share the exact details of the drivers they are recruiting. There are also concerns from the government on the quality of jobs in the country.
